ONLINE CHRISTIAN COUNSELING

Faith Formation Online Christian Counseling

Bringing change through exploring our daily actions, emotional motivations, and core beliefs: from the inside out.

Having shepherded people through their darkest moments, I understand that healing isn’t just about techniques: it’s about relationship with God and people. My approach combines my Master’s degree in Counseling Ministries with real-world pastoral experience across diverse communities. I promise you that your issues will not shock me, and your doubts or pain won’t scare me away. What drives me is seeing people discover that God’s love is bigger than their pain, and His hope is stronger than their circumstances. My Faith Formation model will give you lasting tools to understand our deepest beliefs in a way that impacts your emotions and motivates you to experience life differently.

The Faith Formation Model I use combines my Master’s degree in Counseling Ministries with real-world pastoral experience across diverse communities. I’ve walked alongside people through anxiety disorders that paralyzed their daily functioning, depression so deep they couldn’t see hope, and addictions that threatened to destroy everything they loved.

When Anxiety, Depression, or Addiction Feel Overwhelming, There's a Path Forward

My counseling approach is designed to meet you where you are. Whether you’re battling anxious thoughts, depressive episodes, or addictive behaviors, we’ll gently move you toward deeper healing and lasting change through God’s truth.

Christian counseling is a place to bring your real life before God with someone who will listen carefully. It may be helpful when you feel anxious, discouraged, stuck in a pattern, strained in your relationships, burdened by grief, or confused about your faith.

Faith Formation offers online Christian pastoral counseling rooted in Scripture, prayer, honest conversation, and practical wisdom. It is not licensed psychotherapy, medical treatment, or emergency care.

Who this may help

Pastoral counseling may be helpful if you are dealing with:

  1. Anxiety, worry, or a mind that does not seem to settle
  2. Grief, disappointment, or a major life change
  3. Relationship conflict or family strain
  4. Church hurt, spiritual abuse, or distrust of Christian community
  5. Shame, anger, or habits that leave you feeling trapped
  6. Spiritual doubt, dryness, or questions you do not feel free to ask elsewhere
  7. Leadership pressure, burnout, or difficulty resting

You do not need to have a diagnosis or a clear explanation for what you are feeling. We can begin with what feels most pressing.

What Christian pastoral counseling is

Christian pastoral counseling pays attention to your faith, your emotions, your relationships, your history, and your daily life. We will not use Scripture to dismiss what you feel. We will also not act as if your faith is separate from the concerns that brought you here.

Our conversations may include careful questions, reflection, prayer, Scripture, and practical next steps. The focus is on understanding your story with greater honesty and responding with wisdom before God.

The Faith Formation Model

The Faith Formation Model explores three connected parts of your life.

What is happening now

We begin with the concern that brought you here. This may be an anxious week, a difficult conversation, a repeating conflict, a loss, or a pattern that feels hard to change.

What may be underneath it

We then look at the emotions, experiences, relationships, fears, and longings that shape your response. The goal is not to blame your past. The goal is to understand why certain situations feel so difficult.

What you believe about God, yourself, and others

Finally, we pay attention to the beliefs operating beneath the surface. You may believe that you must earn love, that weakness is unsafe, or that God is disappointed in you. We can bring those beliefs into the light and consider them in view of Scripture and the character of God.

Why This Three-Layer Approach Works for Anxiety, Depression, and Addiction

Starting with life’s problems, exploring emotional roots, and addressing spiritual beliefs, leads to lasting transformation for even the most persistent struggles. It’s not a quick fix, but a process of healing from the inside out.

For anxiety sufferers, you won’t just learn coping techniques; you’ll discover the peace that comes from trusting God with your fears. Those battling depression will find not just symptom management, but genuine hope rooted in God’s unchanging love. If addiction is your struggle, you’ll experience not just behavior modification, but true freedom through spiritual transformation.

You’ll grow in your relationship with God and experience the freedom that comes from His truth, breaking cycles that old you captive.

You can expect a calm conversation, direct questions, and room to think. You will not be expected to perform, explain everything perfectly, or move faster than you are ready to move.

What a session is like

A session might begin with something that happened during the week. We may slow down a recent moment, notice what you felt, identify what made it difficult, and consider a wise next step.

At other times, we may talk about an earlier experience that still affects your relationships or your view of God. Prayer and Scripture can be part of the session when they are helpful and welcome.
